FAITH

…WITH GOD NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

Whether it is in the pulpit, lecturing on social justice or encouraging a dyslexic child, at the core of Revd Professor Magee’s work is his love for God and humanity.

With a charge in life to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable, Magee is an internationally sought-after public intellectual, theologian, and social justice scholar.

Magee has served as resident seminarian, Mount Carmel Baptist Church; and minister of summer programs, Northminister Presbyterian Church, both of Washington, D.C. He acted as a senior faith and politics advisor to Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-D). He also served as Co-Chair of the Massachusetts Council of Chaplains in State Institutions during Governor Deval Patrick’s administration, and on the White House African American Clergy Council for President Barack Obama.

The Berachah Church

Revd Magee’s ministerial calling has led to leadership at The Living Room @The Berachah Church, Boston, MA.

The Berachah Church, Boston, MA, is a multicultural, interdenominational, and evangelical church.

The Living Room @The Berachah Church is committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior for the salvation of souls and spiritual growth of believers; preaching and teaching the Word of God; administering the New Testament ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism; supporting missionary efforts and institutions of leniency and education; and empowering spiritual unity and accord among all believers.

We will do this as a five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers (Ephesians 4:11-13).

With a five-fold philosophy of –

Worship. We purpose to have a place conducive to Worshipping Our Living Lord Jesus Christ. (Psalm 95:6 Psalm 132:7) We will worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24) and in the Liberty of the Spirit (II Corinthians 3:17).

Welcome. We purpose to Welcome anyone into our services. (II Corinthians 5:16, James 2:1-8)

Word. We purpose to preach the Word, (II Timothy 4:2) for the two-fold purpose of the lost being redeemed by the blood of Jesus (Ephesians 2:13) and the believers being equipped to serve. (Ephesians 4:12)

Work. We purpose to Work in Prayer to provide “Prayer Coverings” for the above purposes to be accomplished in the Power of God. “…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16b)

Win. We purpose to Win the lost to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Luke 14:23)
